Pupils at Falcons School for Girls marked the pending opening of Peregrines Pre-Preparatory School, by hosting a Macmillan coffee morning in their new ‘Peregrines Garden.’

Located on the same site as sister school Falcons School for Girls, Peregrines is a family school set in stunning surroundings where boys and girls aged 3 to 8 are cherished and encouraged to flourish and thrive.

Pupils from Falcons School for Girls, held the coffee morning in the newly designed and installed ‘Peregrines Garden’, which features a spacious outdoor classroom, a deck activity area and an astroturf safe-play section.

Falcons School for Girls Headmistress, Sophia Ashworth Jones, commented: “The new garden with its large learning and play space is a fabulous addition to the educational and pastoral offer of Peregrines. The boys and girls will really benefit from the outdoor classroom, not to mention the fun they will have in break times in the newly constructed play areas. We are all really looking forward to welcoming the new Peregrines pupils in September 2018, and we were delighted to be taking part in this nationwide charity event in the new Peregrines Garden.”

The Falcons School for Girls ‘Parents Friends Association’ (PFA) baked cakesfor the parents and the school chef baked cookies and made milkshakes for the girls to enjoy. At the event, there was also a raffle to win a personalised birthday cake. They were thrilled to have raised, £617.90 for Macmillan.

Class teacher, Gemma Foster is also raising funds for Macmillan in her very own special way by running the Royal Parks Half Marathon. The whole school community will be cheering her on and look forward to celebrating her success in assembly.

Enjoying a convenient location with spacious green play areas, superb facilities and dedicated teachers, Peregrines will inspire and challenge children to foster a curiosity and interest in the world around them and to develop a love of learning.

After Peregrines, Falcons School for Girls and Falcons School for Boys offer places to pupils at Year 4.
