Plymouth College student, Harry Preston, has achieved the highest possible grade of D*D*D* in the BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport (Outdoor Adventure). Harry recently won a bronze medal for Great Britain at the European Triathlon Championships in Geneva.

As part of the Sport Baccalaureate course, students gained a range of additional qualifications including National Pool Lifeguard, First Aid, PADI open water diving, and awards in Hill Walking, Paddling, Mountain Biking and Climbing. The overall pass rate for the course was 100%.

“Very well done to all our Sport Baccalaureate students”, said headmaster, Jonathan Standen. “They have not only got an academic qualification that is the equivalent to three A levels but also a range of practical skills such as leadership and coaching.”
