Historic school appoints Ian Williams

Building on its reputation in the independent education sector, Ian Williams has added another prestigious school to its portfolio

Property services company Ian Williams has carried out internal and external redecoration to St John’s School in Leatherhead, Surrey. More than 600 pupils are already benefitting from the works now that they have returned to lessons following the summer break.

The contract was won following the successful delivery of a similar programme at Eton College in Berkshire, where the quality of work greatly impressed the estates manager, who invited Ian Williams to tender for this latest brief.

Mike Turner, development director at Ian Williams, said: “We specialise in delivering services to universities, colleges and schools and were delighted to take on this project with the highly regarded St John’s.

“There is an increasing amount of pressure on those in charge of schools, particularly when work has to be completed in a short period of time, such as the summer holidays. Our team has worked quickly, delivering to an extremely high standard on a very specific brief. We hope that everyone at St John’s will be pleased with the work we’ve done.”
