Karters keep Regional Champions crown for third year running

Brentwood School’s A Karting Team are BSKC South East of England Regional Champions

The Brentwood A Karting Team were recently crowned BSKC South East of England Regional Champions for the third year in succession.

Eighteen schools battled it out for the title during an extremely competitive final at Buckmore Park in Kent, and Brentwood’s A Team amassed 97 points, out of a possible 100, to win by a clear 6 points.

Brentwood’s B Team – comprising a trio of much younger students who have only been racing together for five months – drove with determination and skill to finish in third position and also qualify for the BSKC National Final at Whilton Mill in July.

Defending champions, Callum Brooks (Team Captain), Iaroslav Kovalev, and new driver Ethan Brooks, drove superbly to dominate throughout and finish as champions again.

Throughout the course of the event, held on Saturday 6th May, each driver had to compete in two races. Callum drove confidently winning both of his races; Ethan, who is new to the team, showed no fear and also won both of his races, and Iraoslav bravely made his way through the pack from the back and after encountering some bad luck, finished a highly respectable 4th.

The A Team were runners-up in the National Final back in 2015 but they will be hoping for a repeat of the 2016 result when they also scooped the national title. The B Team of Mason Murray, Adam Richards and Rishi Gupta drove exceptionally well to finish in third position and also qualify for July’s National Final.
