New head for prestigious Dragon School

Crispin Hyde-Dunn, current head of Abingdon Prep, to join the Dragon in 2017

Dragon School Governors have appointed Crispin Hyde-Dunn, currently Headmaster of Abingdon Preparatory School, to be the next Head of the Dragon, taking up the post in September 2017 when John Baugh steps down after 15 years of leadership.

Governors of the school, which counts Tom Hiddleston and Emma Watson among its high-profile alumni, said they were happy to have found someone ‘understands the make-up and inheritance of the Dragon’ to take the school forward with imagination, enthusiasm and commitment.

Crispin said: “It is a great privilege to be invited to become the next Head of the Dragon. The school is world renowned with a distinguished history and one which enjoys a unique quality and vibrancy among its pupils, parents and staff. I am very excited to have the opportunity to lead such a distinctive and talented school community, building upon its tremendous successes, as well as continuing to evolve the school, as we anticipate the changing needs in the years ahead.”
