On Wednesday 4 November, from 10am to 3.30pm, Independent Education Today is hosting its first digital event – Independent Education Live (IE Live).
The free event aims to help leaders of independent schools plan for the future – whether you’re a head, deputy head, head of department, bursar, governor or anyone else in senior leadership.
There will be over five hours of live panel discussions and interviews with influential leaders in the independent education sector. Take a look at what will be on offer on the day:
Headteachers’ Question Time
This live panel discussion will see headteachers from independent schools take part in a lively debate. They will dissect the most pressing issues in education and take questions from our online audience.
What has the new term been like? What happens if there’s another lockdown? We’ll be covering everything you’ve been wanting to ask your fellow heads.

Nutrition and Wellbeing: New Solutions for Schools
If you want to know how your school can maintain proper food education throughout the ever-changing pandemic, don’t miss this live discussion. Sponsored by CH&CO Independent, this session will see nutrition experts and school leaders discuss the intrinsic link between nutrition and wellbeing.
We’ll be discussing how to deliver nutritional messages in situations like lockdown and socially distanced schools, as well as catering teams’ priorities in light of the pandemic.
Independent and State Schools: Working Together
Cross-sector working has always been important but now, when inequalities between the sectors have been highlighted by the pandemic, it is crucial that schools think about what they can do in their communities.
In this live panel discussion, representatives from independent schools and their partner state schools will come together to share advice about how they set up their own meaningful partnerships.
