Stamford Endowed Schools’ head of politics has written his second textbook, entitled A Level Politics, which covers a wide range of topics included in the Edexcel curriculum.
Dave Tuck co-wrote the book with John Jefferies, and said it is also a “useful reference book in preparation for university”.
His first textbook, Political Ideas, was published in 2018.
It was very flattering to be approached to write the core ‘A’ Politics level textbook by Hodder Education and I just hope that it helps students with their learning
Tuck said: “It was very flattering to be approached to write the core ‘A’ Politics level textbook by Hodder Education and I just hope that it helps students with their learning. I’m currently finishing a biography of John Stuart Mill which will be published this time next year.”
Tuck has taught politics at Stamford Endowed Schools for four years. He also launched the school blog two years ago, which he encourages students to write for, to develop their digital voice.
Alongside his teaching, he has recently been awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Society of Arts for his contribution to education and acts as deputy editor of Politics Review.
