A year-11 pupil from the City of London School for Girls has been named as Young Sports Person of the Year

Tin-Tin Ho from the City of London School for Girls has been awarded Young Sports Person of the Year at the British Ethnic Diversity Sports Awards. The year-11 table tennis star attended the awards ceremony at Ricoh Arena in Coventry recently. Voting was open to the public, and was decided along with a panel of experts.

The awards aim to reward excellence among black and minority ethnic sports men and women, as well as improving sporting participation and promoting health and fitness. The ceremony was attended by more than 500 people, including many well-known sporting stars such as Olympic champions Christine Ohorougu and Jason Gardener.

Tin-Tin was shortlisted along with Enaam Ahmed, kart racer, and Morgan Lake, track and field athlete. She said that was delighted to receive the award and increase public awareness of table tennis.
