Richmond-based Falcons Preparatory School for Boys welcomed special guests from Bandai Namco Entertainment, a global entertainment organisation, to an assembly last month. The visitors presented the Year 7 boys with certificates and announced the winner of the challenging project.
During the task, the boys were placed into groups and challenged to create a concept for a new game. Their objective was to focus on financial management, and how and where money should be spent to best market their game. Working hard in their maths lessons to perfect their budgets, the pupils created an array of impressive graphs and financial projections.
After creating their presentations, the boys visited Bandai Namco Entertainment and were “treated like real professionals” in the boardroom. The presentations were carefully watched by teachers Mr Bendelow and Miss Challis, alongside Lee Kirton and other staff from the entertainment company.
Head of English and Upper School Manager, Ellie Challis, said: “The partnership with Bandai Namco Entertainment is incredibly valuable for the boys and a great opportunity to further enhance their learning.
“The pupils really engaged in the creative project and produced some fantastic work; all of the groups were impressive in their presentations.”
