Launched in 2015, the A-Z guide to cricket’s top 100 schools, 'The Playing Fields of England', is available in the December issue of 'The Cricketer'. Bishop’s Stortford College is included in the guide for a second successive year, having competed against 250 other submissions from both the independent and state sectors.
Matt Drury, Head of Cricket at the College said: “We’re delighted that the College has once again been recognised as one of the top 100 schools for cricket by 'The Cricketer' magazine; with a record number of schools submitting an entry this year, it makes our inclusion in the list all the more special. Cricketers at the College benefit from the use of our outstanding practice and playing facilities, which allow us to host Hertfordshire CCC matches in addition to our own school fixtures. Our dedicated coaching staff do their utmost to ensure that all cricketers learn to appreciate and enjoy the game, from the girls and boys in the Pre-Prep to our Elite cricketers in the Senior School given equal opportunity to realise their potential.”
As well as appearing in print in the magazine, the guide will be hosted at www.thecricketer.com, and also made available as a free digital download via 'The Cricketer' app.
